ADD a) The number of forward skips you can do in 30 seconds To b) The length of time (in seconds) you can stand on one leg! See descriptions below ...
SKIPPING
-
Every person skips alone
-
You may skip with both feet together or by 'jogging' over the rope one foot at a time
-
You can stop as many times as you like in the 30 seconds and then start counting from where you left off each time eg if you rest at '25' you continue with '26, 27' etc
TIP: It´s a good idea to keep your back straight and your arms as close to your sides as possible but there is no rule on this
Be strict with yourself - keep practising. The world record is 188 skips in 30 seconds!! If you manage 1/4 of this you are doing well.
BALANCING
-
You must stand on one foot for as long as you can without touching anything outside your own body to maintain balance
-
Both legs must be straight with your one foot held off the ground and away from the balancing/weightbearing foot
-
Timing stops as soon as another part of your body touches the ground, anything/anyone else OR if you move your balancing foot
TIP: To help you balance for longer, it´s a good idea to concentrate on a spot on the wall or on the floor infront of you. Also, use your arms for extra balance
