    • Winners 2010/11 - ??

    •  Activity challenge & target group/s will be announced on specified dates through this website
    • Schools will have 2 weeks to practice/record best times/distance etc
    • Practice can be supervised in the playground or if relevant, during curriculum time depending on the activity
    • A record of results can be ongoing or you may choose to hold a special 'competition' close to the closing date - whichever suits those involved
    • Please allow pupils/leaders to take some responsibility for the organisation of these activities eg timing, counting, helping with practises etc
    • Names of all leaders should be submitted alongside your entry each month - see entry form.  Each school is expected to submit a final nomination for the title of 'School Challenge Leader of the Year Award' in June
    • All pupils in the target year group should be encouraged to take part if possible
    • All final scores should be entered into the competition.  Please download the entry form from the 'Teachers' Area' and submit this to me before the deadline ie midnight on the second Friday
    • On each occasion, certificates/stickers will be awarded to the individual & overall winners
    • A specified number of top performers will receive points for the school. This will ensure fairness regardless of number of pupils put forward from each school. Should a school enter less than the minimum number, they will forfeit these points
    • To identify the winning school for each challenge, all individual points will be added together
    • In the case of a draw, this will be considered a win for all schools/individuals concerned

School place points will be allocated following each of the challenges eg 1st place = 7 points, 2nd place = 6 points etc.  Following the final challenge in June, the total school points will identify the overall winners of the 2008/9

    Motivational/sustainability challenge :

Soon after completing the 'League Challenge' as written above, leaders from the secondary school will come to your school and retest all those who entered.  This will be counted as a separate competition with prizes for
'The Most Improved Pupils' within their school and against the others.

        'Percentage Entry Award'

        • 2007/8 winners - Goldbeaters Primary School
        • 2008/9 winners - St Mary's & St John's Primary School

As usual, in addition to this, a % tally will be kept after entries have been submitted for each of the challenges.  The school with the highest overall % of entries will be awarded a special trophy .... get those entries in!

        'School Challenge Leaders Award'

        • 20087/8 winners - St Mary's & St John's Primary School
        • 2008/9 winners - St Mary's & St John's Primary School
        • 2009/10 winners - not awarded on this occasion

This is awarded to the school who can provide evidence to show how well their leaders have supported the League Challenge.  It can be at any level such as recording, timing, counting etc
