SPRINT CHALLENGE
It is very important that you set this up exactly as described. You can use any line which is obvious to the pupils and of course, the correct distance apart. you may also use cones if you prefer.

Starting in the middle of the 2 cones which are exactly 4 meters apart, facing forwards ie with one cone to your right and the other to your left

On the word 'go' run to one of the cones (either line is fine to begin with)

On reaching the cone, touch it with your hand

Immediately turn to sprint to the other cone and touch that one

Repeat until the teacher/leader calls 'Stop!'

How many times can you touch the cones in 45 seconds?
This is quite a long time for some pupils however, this is deliberate in order to split results and to identify which pupils have the stamina and determination to keep going at a speed.
