YR5 'STEP UP' CHALLENGE 

   

 EQUIPMENT:

School PE bench

Stopwatch

Pencil/paper

  • Place one foot onto a sturdy bench
  • Keeping your back straight, step up onto the bench, driving up with the leg which is on top. Try not to flick yourself up with your grounded foot
  • Ensure that both feet are place together and flat once on the bench - this is a STEP UP not a JOG UP
  • You must step down onto whichever foot was placed on the bench first (you can change the foot as many times as you wish but this rule applies each time) ie if you stepped up with the right leg leading then you must step down with that foot first

  • Continue this for 1 minute

 

1 POINT IS AWARDED FOR EACH TIME YOU HAVE BOTH FEET ON THE BENCH
