YR6 'HOOP-OVER' CHALLENGE 
 

 

EQUIPMENT:

1 x hoop (at least 60cm diameter) 

Stopwatch

Whistle (or loud voice!)

---------------------------------------

  • Place hoop on the floor
  • Stand in the centre of the hoop with both arms help high above your head - elbows locked
  • On the word 'go' bend down and pick the hoop up
  • Continue lifting the hoop so that it passes outside the whole of your body

            

  • Place hoop on floor infront of you with both hands still touching it ie do not DROP the hoop to the floor
  • Let go & step back into the hoop lifting both hands above your head again - elbows locked so that you are back to your starting position
  • Repeat from the beginning and continue for 1 minute 

1 POINT = EACH TIME YOU ARRIVE BACK TO STARTING POSITION    

    

ie standing upright in the centre of the hoop with both arms full stretched above your head

REMEMBER:    It is always wise to warm up before attempting an exercise like this however, the more you practice, the fitter and better you will be!!   Obvious, I know..........
